THE SIX HEART VIRTUES

(A series of thoughtful comments)

Appreciation

Such a simple word holds the key to opening the joy of life, perhaps more than most others,  living from the place of appreciation has a way of opening our eyes. Sometimes we see with new vitality things that previously we accepted as just always there.

So with deep appreciation I firstly thank all my friends, especially those that have stood by me through the very tuff times. I LOVE YOU ALL.

With heartfelt appreciation I thank my girls for always seeing their Dad’s sunny side, even through my darkest moments I LOVE YOU TO THE STARS.

I give valuable appreciation to all those that have and do offer me work of great variety, thank you for being patient with me, this I appreciate more than you can imagine. Special thanks to Baden owner of TJ’s carwash in Botany Downs. Your understanding and support is very much appreciated. You would have to be the best person I have worked for (bar my Father). The job at TJ’s has kept me alive in more ways than one.

I have huge appreciation for our environment, and the nature that surrounds us daily is full of vibrant life. The magical morning song at dawn has to be one of the most inspiring ways to start a day. Once that sun rises out of the darkness, we are all brought into the light, all things past are gone never to return. So now we sit in the moment of great appreciation to the dawning of our New Day.

Thank You

Aside from the joy I receive daily from just waking to another day, hmmm maybe not every day just yet? I still have moments of finding the wrong side of the bed!!!

There are two major influences in my life; the first is nature and all things natural, second music in all its art forms.

Every day I seem to discover something new in nature, sometimes it’s just simply noticing further detail in a flower I thought I already knew, looking at nature with fresh eyes and an open mind each day is probably my greatest joy.  To be with nature is to truly be with oneself, observing with a feeling of connection , watching that little Kingfisher return to the tree branch daily I feel like he just popped in to say Hi on his way home.

From the beat of a single drum too the sound of a full blown orchestra playing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, music in all its glory has always been a true inspiration for me. Indeed I have had some of my most inventive moments come through while listening to music, in fact as I type there is the beautiful sound of Jazz playing to me in this case it’s Silje Nergaard’s mesmerising tones.

So the inspiration flows to the photos I take to capture a moment in time, then add words that somehow fit the image, these sometimes quotes as above, other times the words just seem to come from within.

I share this as a small introduction of the perspective I view life from.
